Theft from a van, Sutton Coldfield town centre.

Dear Resident.

What has happened?

Between 1 & 3pm on Tuesday the 4th of November 2025 unknown offenders gained access to parked van in Sutton Coldfield town centre.

The van was secure, access to the vehicle was gained by the offenders drilling a hole in the side door.

Once access was gained the offenders stole a number of garden power tools, and made good their escape.

What are we doing?

At this time the incident is under investigation.

What can you do?

If you are a van owner/driver we advise that tools are not left in a vehicle especially overnight.

Of course the very nature of the vehicle and their use means that tools have to be carried.

Please always secure your vehicle when parked, the targeted vehicle was secure, and the offenders used a drill to access the vehicle.

Special locks and plates can be fitted to prevent this method of entry.
